Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Cast Updates
Captain Sandy Yawn Celebrates Love and a New Season
Captain Sandy and her wife, Leah Shafer, marked their second wedding anniversary in May 2026. The captain shared an emotional message about feeling safe, loved, and ready to embrace a new beginning with her partner.
Professionally, Sandy is not leaving the franchise behind. She will return for Below Deck Med Season 12, which is expected to include a crossover event with the cast of Summer House. Her continued leadership remains one of the most anticipated elements of the upcoming season.
Aesha Scott Starts a New Chapter After Marriage
Aesha Scott also experienced a major personal milestone after filming wrapped. The chief stew married Scott Dobson in New Zealand during an early March 2026 ceremony. Several familiar Below Deck personalities attended, including Captain Sandy, Hannah Ferrier, Anastasia Surmava, and Gael Cameron.
Aesha said she had spent roughly a decade working on boats, but marriage has encouraged her to think more openly about the future. She will return alongside Sandy for Season 12 and has already teased the upcoming Summer House crossover.
Joe Bradley Focuses on Fitness and Personal Growth
Joe Bradley and Kayley Smith may have left the yacht amid a boatmance, but they are no longer romantically involved. Joe said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live that he is currently single and concentrating on personal development.
He also confirmed that he had moved away from his former OnlyFans work and launched an online fitness coaching business. Joe explained that content creation helped him financially in the past, but his new company represents an important career pivot.
Kayley Smith Takes on a Chief Stew Role
Kayley remains friendly with Joe and several other cast members. After the season, the pair even traveled to Indonesia with Kat Johnston and a friend. Kayley emphasized that their relationship is now strictly platonic, describing them as friends who may test each other’s patience but forgive quickly.
Her professional life has also advanced. Kayley unexpectedly became chief stew on a 50-meter yacht after the original hire left the position. Although the responsibility was challenging, she said the experience brought valuable wins and lessons. She is now planning a move to Japan for a ski season.
Gen Lillie and Kat Johnston Choose Independent Paths
Gen Lillie continues working in yachting and has taken freelance jobs on boats in Florida. She also spent time with family in New York City and Texas. After watching the season, Gen said she had chosen to remain single and wanted to focus on becoming the best version of herself.
Kat Johnston, meanwhile, has stayed close to Aesha, Gen, and Kayley while traveling between jobs. She was living in Nova Scotia in August and planned to move to London the following month. Kat hopes to find a land-based position but admitted that the yachting industry continues to draw her back.
Joy, Cooper, Massi, and Luke Reveal What Comes Next
Chef Joy Lefaucheur and Luke Brumer remain friendly, but their post-season connection did not become a lasting romance. Joy said she still keeps in touch with much of the cast and regularly collaborates with Cooper on social media projects.
Cooper, who is based in Charleston, South Carolina, described Season 11 as a powerful learning experience. He admitted that watching the episodes back made him uncomfortable but said the season helped him grow as both a deckhand and a person.
Massi Scarcia, who joined the yacht late in the season, appeared to have moved on romantically. He shared photos with a new girlfriend while celebrating their anniversary. Luke also confirmed that he is in a happy relationship with someone outside the yachting world. He continues to work in yachting and as a personal trainer.
