Team News and Key Storylines
Real Madrid enters the fixture with renewed confidence after a dramatic 4-3 away victory over Roma in the Champions League. The Spanish side scored three late goals to complete a thrilling turnaround, with Kylian Mbappé among the scorers. The performance offered encouragement to head coach José Mourinho after an uneven start to the club’s pursuit of a 34th La Liga title.
Sevilla also has plenty at stake, although its latest league outing ended in frustration. Luis García Plaza’s team surrendered a late advantage during a 3-3 draw away to Levante on Monday. Forward Isaac Romero was shown a red card in the closing stages and is suspended for the trip to Madrid.
That absence could test Sevilla’s attacking depth, while Real Madrid will look to use its home advantage and European momentum. With only four points separating the teams, the result could significantly influence the early standings and intensify pressure on both squads.
